The city¡¯s total investment in fixed assets increased by 10.2% to 297.108 billion yuan from the previous year. Grouped by types of industry, the FAI in the primary industry went down by 65.3% to 97 million, and that in the secondary industry and the tertiary industries grew by 28.0% and 6.2% to 64.407 billion yuan and 232.604 billion yuan respectively. 

The investment in infrastructure reached 85.35 billion yuan ,an increase of 19.9% year on year, of which the investment in transport arrived at 40.115 billion yuan, an increase of 41.6%, while the investment in industry stood at 64.534 billion yuan, an increase of 28.0%, of which that in manufacturing sector increased by 28.5% to 56.838 billion yuan and that in social affairs increased by 3.1% to 17.079 billion yuan.

The investment in real estate fell 0.5% to 106.478 billion yuan. Of which the residential investment was 72.673 billion yuan, up by 2.4%; the investment in commercial housing was 3.806 billion yuan, decreasing by 12.6%; and that in commercial housing declined 25.4% to 5.96 billion yuan. The construction area of real estate housing in Xiamen was 35.1491 million square meters, down by 4.0%, while the newly housing construction climbed to 6,878.2 thousand square meters, up by 21.5%.
